CONNECTED PLACE

Part of something bigger, for over 450 years.

Today the estate’s ‘mid-town’ location title is well earned – Central to The City / St Paul’s and bustling areas of Covent Garden, Soho and The West End.

Chancery Lane runs from High Holborn in the north to Fleet Street in the south, with Lincoln’s Inn to the west and the London Silver Vaults at the north end, a reminder of its proximity to the jewellery district of Hatton Garden.

Chancery Lane underground station has entrances within both the London Borough of Camden and the City of London.

Story of evolution

One of the capital’s most historic areas, this is an evolving neighbourhood – from its impressive architecture that today reflects the history and dynamism of the City and the vibrancy of the West End, to the businesses that now occupy it.

The area’s historical association with the legal profession continues, with Chancery Lane still home to a number of legal institutions and services, including Lincoln’s and Gray’s Inn - and its many side streets, a hub of legal professionals and barristers’ chambers, wigmakers, tailors, robe makers, pubs and coffee shops.

The estate is home to the commercial, clever and creative – its people and throughout its businesses big and small.

Alongside lawyers and traditional crafts has emerged a diverse mix of occupiers. From architecture to media and advertising, we’re home to some of the Capital’s most creative minds. Since its redevelopment in 2015, 40 Chancery Lane (100,000 sq ft / 9,290sq m) has been occupied by three companies within the Publicis Group, including leading communications and advertising company, Saatchi & Saatchi.

Agora Spaces cater for start-ups and SME’s, offering sustainably interior designed private 6 – 40 person (500-2,350 sq ft) serviced offices – bringing flexibility to traditional leasing with all-inclusive 12-month contracts, including business rates, utilities, ultra-fast fibre broadband, video conferencing and cleaning.

As a certified B Corp, with the principles of wellness and connectivity at the forefront of a ‘space as a service’ ethos, the estate continues to attract an exciting mix of business minds, including some of the UK’s leading tech and creative professionals.

Continuing to build a loyal customer base through its reputation for well-designed market-leading environmentally conscious workspaces, Agora is following an exciting growth trajectory, building on inaugural Quality House, now with a further four locations in its portfolio, including Midway House, situated on Cursitor Street and part of the Colville Estate.

More than just workspace – culture

The wider midtown area has welcomed a growing and fashionable service industry, with cutting edge restaurants, shops and hotels, including The Hoxton. As the character of the area continues to evolve, so does its demographics.

The diversity and richness of midtown is one of its greatest strengths - maintaining and enhancing cultural diversity, fostering a sense of belonging for all that work and visit our estate.

Towards the Fleet Street end of Chancery Lane, is the Maughan Library and the main campus building of King’s College, London.
